Adrift

I am a mad captain
Adrift on my helpless boat
Casting a small hook
Into a vast ocean
Tattered sails still lashed to
The splintered remains of a mast
Strewn on the deck
All I can do is fish
With this small rod and reel
Desperate to retrieve the anchor
I cut loose during the storm
