A shadow steals through the house
Sideways
Creeps over and clutches my daughter
I yell I reach out to grab her
But she is possessed by the cloud
And her words spit
Out at odd intervals
Too loud and twisted
Sideways
She is tangled and choking
On misty shards and angry
I reach in to grab her
Now I am smothered by the darkness
And my words twist and crawl
Out in unholy angles
The veil tilts the angle of our hearts
And we are wrapped together
But each alone in misery
Sideways
