Hi - koo

Office haiku -- Not "real" haiku, but using the stereotypical three-line form with 5-7-5 syllables

a Friday haiku:
better than Lenten fish fry;
red meat for the mind

Monday means work

jump into your job head first
remember to breathe

February sun
fills the street with slushy muck
kills all the snowmen

standing on the train:
who are all these damm people?
they should be driving.

my email is dull.
no friends write, no job offers
not even porn ads

Spring came out so cold
the flowers stayed wrapped in earth
hiding their beauty

interns are prepared
best with a little salt and
cooked over a fire

This is a hilarious work of poetry, one that brought a smile to my face! I especially enjoyed your thoughts on the train, dull e-mails, and interns.

Despite all the cars that plague Washington's roads, I'm always amazed at how congested the Metro can be at times. I constantly check my e-mail, which, I'm sure, detracts from my productivity. As for your feelings on interns, well, we've all heard horror stories about them!

Have a good day, and I hope you continue to write more poetry!
