In the corner of your eye
A ship courses
Across branches
Clouds converge
Above your heart
A bird sings
In bright waves

On the edge of conscience
A soul sails
Past your shadow
Hands hold their own
Inside your dream
The song repeats
A sparkling ribbon

Nice one, Eric. I particularly like the first four lines: concrete, but evocative. More lines like that, and we'll all be honoring you at the Kennedy Center (don't worry: I look better in a tux).

Oh, and don't hold your breath for the Kennedy Center. I have yet to make it into a publication...

I really love this one, Eric. Beautiful words and pictures. I'm not much into analysing poetry, have done this too much at uni, I prefer just to read and feel the words, and sometimes they even touch my heart.

I like very much this surreal and beautiful poem. It is enigmatic, mysterious, hopeful and makes one think. It has also great lines and images.
